I recently finished reading Magdalene Mysteries: The Left-Hand Path of the Feminine Christ by Seren and Azra Bertrand — and my goddess, what a ride it was! A rollercoaster ride of feelings and feminine revelation.

Today, I invite you to have a feel into an amazing, forgotten feminine archetype: Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld. Ereshkigal represents our shadow self, our exiled self, and our disowned shadows and wounds.

Our family of origin holds many of the keys to our spiritual destiny. By choosing to be a guardian of our lineage, we offer up our life and our womb as a chalice of love, where the wounds, disappointments, lost dreams, and heartbreaks of the past can be heard, felt, alchemized, and healed.

When I was 17, I met a Buddhist monk who changed my life. I was in the middle of an enormous heartbreak, so devastating it seemed I would never recover. My family and I were invited to a weekend meditation retreat in the countryside, under the guidance of this monk.

What are your favorite love stories? Mine are the ones with... a major plot twist. Where, deep in, just when you thought you had it figured out - you find out something you never even imagined possible.

The priestess invites us into our deep spiritual power — how much can we listen to our womb intuition? An amazing power resides within the womb-heart of every woman. Beyond logic or intellect, beyond the patriarchal energies or chaos of the world.

Dare to follow the tracks. To that mystery land that’s calling you across the world. To that temple door inside your heart that tells you of forgotten love stories. To the dreams that others have long forsaken or refuse to believe in.

My biggest initiation has been to let my red river flow. To accept to lose friends, lovers, validation, and safety in the process. To let go of money, status, 'fitting in’, and of a secure path that society can recognize and praise.

In the Feminine Mysteries, wells are deeply significant. They symbolize the passageway into the Womb mysteries, into the Cosmic Womb, where the Unknowable awaits.
